Spirulina smoothie

  • 1 cup almond milk
  • 1 frozen or fresh banana
  • 3-4 soaked dates with the soak water
  • 1 tsp spirulina powder
  • Pear slices (optional)

Blend all together and drink immediately.

If you make the almond milk thicker (almond cream) and add more dates, you can churn this mix in an ice cream maker for delicious spirulina ice cream. Add a dessertspoon of lecithin granules or a rounded teaspoon of slippery elm powder to make the finished product more smooth and creamy in texture.
